About the Role:
James E Rockwell DMD PA is looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Dental Assistant to join their team in Egg Harbor Township, NJ! This is a fantastic opportunity to work alongside an experienced dental professional in a patient-focused practice where your skills and compassion truly make a difference.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the dentist chairside during a variety of dental procedures and treatments
- Prepare and sterilize dental instruments, equipment, and treatment rooms
- Take and develop dental X-rays as directed by the dentist
- Record patient medical histories and document treatment notes accurately
- Educate patients on post-treatment care and proper oral hygiene practices
- Manage and organize dental supplies, materials, and inventory
- Provide a welcoming, calm, and supportive experience for patients of all ages
Requirements:
- Prior dental assisting experience preferred; entry-level candidates welcome
- Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and infection control protocols
- Dental radiography certification
- Familiarity with dental practice management software is a plus
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-first attitude
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinical environment
- High school diploma or equivalent required; dental assisting certification a plus
